3 of Sydney’s Best Nail Art Salons

Let’s be real, keeping our nails in tip top condition wasn’t anyone’s true priority during lockdown. But with Sydney’s restrictions on beauty services well and truly lifted, it’s time to give your nails a little TLC. Whether you’re getting back into your nail routine or treating yourself to some self-care, a boring coat of Shellac just doesn’t seem much like a comeback, does it? Toast Sydney life moving closer to what we knew before with some stunning nail art. Here are 3 of Sydney’s nail art experts who are perfect for the job.

Cege Nail Bar

Cege Nail Bar is a private home-based salon in Chippendale which exclusively uses Japanese gel polishes. In comparison to Shellac, Japanese gels are known to be more vibrant in colour, malleable in texture (making them perfect for nail art!) and less damaging on nails during removal. The salon also offers Apres Nail Extensions for those looking to add some length to their nails.

Since opening in 2018, Cege Nail Bar has easily been the one of most recognisable spots for nail art in Sydney thanks to her gorgeous Instagram page filled with glamourous designs.

The owner, Celine, is a self-taught nail designer who has a fantastic eye for colour coordination and elegant nail designs. Her signatures looks include lively marble designs and gradient nail art – all very wearable designs that are suitable for every occasions.

Prior to COVID, Cege Nail Bar was often booked out weeks (and sometimes months!) in advance. Now that restrictions have loosened up, lock in your appointment ASAP!

VW Nailbar

VW Nailbar is the Sydney nail art salon to visit if you’re after extensive experience and a crazy steady hand.

Based in Sydney’s South, VW Nailbar is run by Vivian out of her home in Hurstville. The salon uses Japan’s infamous Leafgel polishes and Vivian herself is Australia’s first Leafgel educator. She has extensive knowledge when it comes to giving a stand-out manicure featuring the latest nail art styles. The salon carries an extensive array of gel colours, so you’re bound to walk away with truly unique nails!

VW Nailbar’s style is dreamy, whimsical. Think stars, moons, glitter but also experimental colour combos for bold designs. However, the salon’s best designs are undoubtedly Vivian’s creative hand drawn creations. Check out how intricate her cherry design looks!

Nailsalon Sculpture Sydney

For nail enthusiasts who’ve always liked their nails with a side of spectacle, Sayuri is a name they’re familiar with. Sayuri is the real OG when it comes to OTT nail designs and she now heads up Nailsalon Sculpture.

Think Harajuku, Jpop, Kpop and bling bling all around, and that’s the style that Sayuri excels in.

With over 15 years nail art experience in both acrylic and Japanese gel nails, Sayuri is the best nail artist in Sydney for a set of seriously eye-catching nails. Clients of hers are often heard praising her flawless work and dedication to making sure your nails are immaculate before letting you leave.

PS – She does pedicures too!
